July 5thCarol HardyCarol is a retired teacher from Beaconsfield and is currently a National Trust Guide at Waddesdon Manor. She will give a talk on “The Rothschilds and Waddesdon” and will include information on the family, the building of the Manor, its Collection, the Wine Cellars and the Estate today.
August 2ndTony EatonTony has previously spoken on the disappearance of Glenn Miller and the cover-up surrounding Hitler`s Deputy Rudolph Hess. His talk will be about the fatal last flights of two British icons – the aviator Amy Johnson and the film actor Leslie Howard.
September 6thRoger MasonRoger, a chartered accountant has written a book “London to Birmingham by Rail” based on his regular commuter journeys. The talk will include an account of 40 interesting features that can be seen eg The Ovaltine Building, Harrow School, Harrow and Wealdstone Station.
